At ODP we strive to breed the Ultimate Doberman. All of
our dogs are health tested before breeding. Temperament
is a big concern, so we only breed our Dams with a Stud
that has a stable and friendly personality. We feel that
the Doberman already has a bad reputation, due to
Hollywood, so we strive to change that perception.
ODP takes great pride in the social skills that our puppies
have before they go to their new home. All puppies are
raised in our home with children, our other dogs, and our
cats. Once the puppies have their first vaccinations, we
begin leash training and take the puppies out one at a time
into public. We do this in order to have them experience
everyday noises, people (young and old), distracting visual
stimulus, and traffic noises. This is a very important part
of their early socialization process. It is imperative that
you continue these daily exercises to imprint a positive
social confidence on your new ODP puppy.
